Our first deployment has officially begun. I had no idea how sick I would feel. I have SO much more respect for military wives and their families. I am also overcome with feelings of pride for Brian. I am so proud of and thankful for his hard work and sacrifice. I am also thankful for a great group of girls that are always there for me. I am so lucky.
I told myself I wasn't going to cry, but that went out the window as soon as I drove along the flight line this morning. I couldn't help it. My best friend was leaving me for 6.5 months.
I hung out with friends and kept myself busy all day after he left. I let Caden stay up late and held him tight and gave him extra kisses and cuddles. We kissed Daddy's picture goodnight on the way upstairs. He smiled.
We are planning lots of fun things to keep us busy until he returns and are working on some goals. If you would like to send him a care package, email me and I will send you his address. Here are some pictures from today and a video of them taking off!
