Today my sweet baby boy turns ONE! I can't believe a year has gone by! He has changed so much. I am loving this age and wish Brian could see more of him since he changes and learns so much every day!
He stands up on his own all the time and is walking super fast now! So fast, it could almost be considered running! He has 8 teeth and has been drooling a TON this past week so I am thinking more will appear soon. He is becoming a pickier eater than before. He's not crazy about what I make for dinner and still prefers pureed baby food. He loves applesauce, yogurt, and goldfish crackers and so does Zeke. Caden loves to share with Zeke and half his food ends up on the floor lately!
He is still talking a lot. He says, "more" and "done" while doing the signs. He says, "ba" for bottle, ball, and book. Ha! He started telling me "no" and "ya" for the first time last week. He says "mama" and "dada" and when you ask him what sounds cows make he says "moooo". When you ask him to say "dog" he pants like a dog. So cute! He can wave and blow kisses and is very social and loves his friends and play dates!
He climbs stairs super fast and is learning how to go down on his belly and is getting pretty good at that. Of course I don't let him climb unsupervised!
He has his 1 year check-up next Thursday, but I think he weighs about 24lbs and is wearing 18-24 month clothes. He also has another ultrasound on Monday to monitor his kidney, but the last couple check ups have been good according to the urologist.
His birthday "shell-e-bration" (it's turtle themed) is on Sunday at the base pool! I can't wait and will post pictures soon! Happy Birthday, Caden! Mommy and Daddy love you so much! XOXOXOXOXOXO
