Catching Up

Last month, we went to the Okinawa zoo for the first time! Hard to believe since we went about four times while we were in Houston last fall! The nice thing about the Houston Zoo (besides it being HUGE!) was that we got in for FREE with our military ID. In Okinawa, an adult admission is 500 yen.

We went right when they opened on a weekend and it was EMPTY. It was like a ghost town and we wondered if we were even at the right zoo. It was eerie. And there were TONS of steep hills. At one point I handed off the stroller to Brian to push up the hill, because I was literally folded over 90 degrees while trying to push it up the hill. We finally got to the part with all the animals. We went to the petting zoo first, which was actually way better than the Houston zoo!

Bunnies!

The most adorable little chicks.

Turtle kisses!

Anyone need a shower while at the zoo?

Walked by the hippos while they were being fed some grass balls of some sort. They are really sloppy eaters! It was gross!

Approaching the bear cage. Yikes!

For Brian's birthday, we were happy to have him home to celebrate! We surprised him with a pancake breakfast, balloons, and presents when he woke up!

We had a date day after breakfast and went to Round 1! It is a really fun indoor play place, kind of like Dave & Busters. We had a blast and acted like kids for the afternoon with our friends who live across the street, Amber and Chris.

Virtual golf!

Pilot game

Snowboarding game

Ever seen an ice cream claw game? I hadn't! So cool!

In other news, we've got ORDERS!!! We are happy to announce that we will be moving back to Corpus Christi, Texas this summer! Brian will be a flight instructor at NAS-CC for the next three years. And the best part (besides being so close to family again)? No deployments! Amen!

Caden can't wait to brush up on his fishing skills.
