Paddles Up!

The girls and I went down to Naha today, May 5th (Children's Day- a Japanese holiday), for the annual dragon boat races. Tons of Japanese and military teams enter to compete in the races. We found a nice spot up front and watched the American (all women) team kick butt! They left the other teams in the DUST! Woohoo!

Why don't you see any other boats around, because they are all WAYYY behind them!

Special "banner holders" in the middle. That would totally be my job if I ever entered the race next year.
