Parking Garage Elevator

Space is limited here in Japan so there are automatic garages where you can park your car, get out, and then an elevator will spin it around and move it to one of the top floors. Here are some pictures from the one we used today near Kokusai Street in Naha. We were a little scared at first when we pulled into the elevator, wondering if we were supposed to stay in the car or not. Thankfully, we were motioned to get out of the car! Now we know!

Looking up after pulling into the elevator. You can see a few side mirrors sticking out from the parked cars.

Get your ticket

After exploring Kokusai Street for a few hours, we returned our ticket and paid the 700 yen.

And about 2 minutes later... VOILA!

That's the same Garage Elevator we went to for the Tug of War! Only I didn't realize it was a garage elevator until we came back because I was afraid we were going to be late for the event, and just took our ticket and started walking toward the rope.
